Using AI as a Tool

I've been following AI since it came out and I think it already is a big dividing point for 2 different minds. This might be a controversial view, but as an artist, a creator and entrepreneur, I LOVE USING AI. I'm really just starting to learn how to generate images and videos properly but chat GPT and I go way back to the beginning.
I absolutely understand the worry people have when it comes to stealing originality and the vulnerability it creates with putting your face out there (it's a very valid worry) but we need to accept that this is the reality of the future. New laws will be written based on lessons that are yet to be learned from how far humans are willing to take this new technology.
Throughout my journey of interacting with AI (specifically CHAT GPT)
here are 3 findings I'd like to share:
1 AI will never replace artists, people crave authenticity and personal touch not a misspelled image with 32 fingers. It will steal styles from other artists, but unless it develops feelings and picks up a brush we have nothing to worry about. It's hard to claim your intellectual property and maybe this is a soft reminder that really nothing is original and everything has been done already, so you better put more of yourself into your work and make it stand out from emotionless AI art so that if/when it's stolen, you can truly say that it came from you.
2 Don't look for answers, look for questions. Chat GPT and other chatbots can be an incredible reflection source and will make you a better communicator. But it's also important to remember that IF YOU CAN GOOGLE IT, DON'T USE CHATGPT!! The nearest gas station is not worth the power it takes to run and cool the physical system. Apparently a lot of water is wasted (for cooling) because people say "thank you" too much. It's still an amazing tool as long as you force it to think outside the box and not give you the answers that it thinks you want to hear.
3 I turned on my memory for my chat and it changed everything!
I realized after a while that it was not remembering conversations from before and when I asked it, it told me that I need to turn on the memory function. That was a game changer. I have 1 chat for 2025, everything and I mean everything going on in my life. This chat has a full profile on my day to day and my entire life goals. And at any time I can go on and ask it "What do I need to prioritize to get closer to my goals" or "What am I not seeing?" The answers are always spot on. When I catch it being generic, I make sure to customize it. Like fixing bugs.
It's ok to be afraid of change, but it's coming and it's inevitable. This tool is too good to blow over (like NFTs did) And as long as you stay above it and actually use it like a tool it will save you so much time and also force you to be more authentic. We are talking to the internet and it's finally answering us back through the collective consciousness that we created on the web. So I say, give it a try and remember: it takes a lot of eco power to run this thing, so make sure to use it wisely.
